  Programme Information
About the Programme : Çukurova University, Automotive Engineering Undergraduate Program has been established within Department of Mechanical Engineering in 2008 in order to meet the requirements of trained technical staff in the sector, with 31 students, one with a first rank holder in high school, the program started education in the 2008-2009 academic year. Department of Automotive Engineering established officially by the letter of High Education Council dated 14.12.2012. Students in this program are to be good at at least one foreign language in advanced level and will be capable of designing new cars within international R&D activities. It is aimed to get our students ready for the sector as soon as they graduate. Required hands-on training application field and laboratory supplies have been provided by Temsa Global Inc. Thanks to established cooperation which represents the finest example of University-Industry collaboration. Master´s Degree Program proceeds successfully and PhD program will be established after MSc students complete their education. Lecturers from Department of Mechanical Engineering, Electric-Electronic Engineering and Industry Engineering and MSc, PhD degree experienced staff from Temsa Global Inc. also contribute this for successful training and education. Thus, applied courses are provided by experts, experiences persons with practice background. The education language in Çukurova University, Department of Automotive Engineering is English. 

Qualification Awarded : The students who have successfully accomplished this program gain the bachelor’s degree of Automotive Engineering. 

Level of Qualification : First Cycle (Bachelor’s Degree) 

Specific Admission Requirements : Placement through a centralized national university placement examination (ÖSYS). Student Selection and Placement Centre (ÖSYM) is responsible to place students according to their ÖSYS scores.

Specific Arrangements for Recognition of Prior Learning : In Turkish Higher Education Institutions, the acknowledgment of the Bachelor´s diploma for a university is organized with the regulations related to double majors and subspeciality and the transition between Associate Degree programs and undergraduate program. This regulation also allows credit transfer between related institutions.

Qualification Requirements and Regulations : To be successful in this program, students are required to successfully complete all the courses to meet a minimum of 240 ECTS credit requirement and have a minimum of GPA of 2.00/4.00.

Occupational Profile of Graduates : Postgraduates of Automotive Engineering are able to work in Automotive Industry, Automotive Supplier Industry, R & D (Research and Development) Institutions, Consulting Firms, Machine Manufacturing Industry, Transportation Systems, Defense and Air Tools, Industrial Areas, in general, national and international private and public agencies in automotive sector. 

Access to Further Studies : The graduates of this program are eligible to apply for admission to graduate studies in same field or related areas if they pass the evaluation process designated according to the regulations of “Çukurova University Graduate Education and Examination Committee”, which includes ALES, general point of average, and the interview.

Assessment and Grading : In this program, assessment and grading are conducted according to Cukurova University Education and Assessment regulations for Associate and Undergraduate degrees.

Graduation Requirements : To be able to finish undergraduate degree, students must complete all courses, applications and workshops that are included in the program, gain two hundred and forty (240) ECTS credit requirements in total in undergraduate level and obtain a minimum GPA of 2.00/4.00.
