Associate Degree - Adana Vocatıonal School

General Information

Electricity Program started education in 2002-2003 academic year with secondary education and in 2004-2005 academic year with normal education. The electricity sector is in a continuous and dynamic development due to the rapidly changing market and competition conditions at the global level. The reason for this is the increasing time spent on work and transportation in people's lives, and the intensification of the need for technology use and service procurement to meet domestic needs. While technological developments are rapidly advancing in meeting these needs, they have created a brand new sector and employment area in terms of service and production. World-class companies operating in this field have emerged. Product variety has increased rapidly. The competition in the sector has intensified in the field of service provision as well as product variety and quality. As a result of this competition, the sector has become more and more demanding to use information day by day. Depending on the rise in living standards in our country, it is estimated that there will be significant investments in the electricity sector in the future in terms of production and service network, and accordingly, an increase in employment will be seen. Today, as a result of the rapid increase in the rate of use of electricity in daily life, it is estimated that there will be developments in the professions related to the production and service of electrical devices, and accordingly, there will be a need for trained personnel with up-to-date knowledge in these professions. Within the framework of these estimations, training a qualified workforce and equipping the existing workforce will not only contribute to the increase in employment but also create positive effects in increasing competitiveness and productivity. In our department, modules that are based on competencies that will directly meet the needs of the sector are tried to be offered quickly with modern education approaches.
