General Information
Physiotherapy Associate Degree Programme is a vocational education and practice-oriented associate degree programme. This programme aims to train qualified intermediate staff with basic knowledge and practical skills to support health professionals working in the field of physiotherapy and rehabilitation and to meet the needs in the sector. The Physiotherapy program was established in 2012 and started education in 2012-2013 academic year with 20 students.

Feature & Definition
The physiotherapy program has a total quota of 44 students, including 30 students who passed the YKS exam, two students who are top students, and 12 earthquake victims. The language of education is Turkish. Students take theoretical courses in the classrooms of Abdi Sütcü Health Services Vocational School and practical courses in the Department of Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation at Çukurova University Faculty of Medicine Research and Practice Hospital. Our students who graduate from this program earn the title of physiotherapy technician. They can find jobs in university and state hospitals, physical therapy rehabilitation clinics, and private branch centers.

Goals
The aim of this program is to train physiotherapy technicians, whose shortage is felt intensely in physical therapy and rehabilitation clinics and special branch centers within public and private hospitals.
Objectives
To contribute to the training of technicians who have acquired professional knowledge and skills, follow current developments, can act in line with continuous development and learning goals in order to provide the best service, are dynamic, forward-thinking, have high communication and maintenance skills, have strong analytical skills, are prone to teamwork, and respect the ethical values required by the profession.
Specific Admission Requirements
Students are accepted to this program within the quota according to the Higher Education Institutions Exam (YKS) conducted by the ÖSYM Presidency. In addition, students are accepted within the quotas announced by the international student office and horizontal transfer quotas according to central/general grade point average.

Qualification Requirements of Graduation
Students must have passed the courses in the program, have at least 120 ECTS credits and have a GPA of at least 2.00 out of 4.00.
Access to Further Studies
Our graduates Vertical Jump Test with the Department of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation, Division of Nursing, Department of Nursing and Health Services can make the transition to the undergraduate programs.
Internship
Summer internship is 30 working days. Internships can be done in State Hospitals, University Hospitals, Private Hospitals, Medical Centers, Physical Therapy Centers.
Applied Course
Practical lessons are given in Abdi Sütcü Health Services Vocational School Physiotherapy program application laboratories, Çukurova University Balcalı Hospital Health Application and Research Center Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Clinic and since 2021, Health Sciences University Adana City Training and Research Hospital - Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Hospital.
Work Placement
There is no workplace training application.

Employment Opportunities
The Physiotherapy Technician Program is completed with the Associate Degree diploma. Graduates, public and private inpatient / out-patient health institutions and rehabilitation centers connected to the Ministry of Health, inpatient / non-bedded health institutions and institutions in hospitals, Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation clinics and special branch centers, nursing homes, spa-cure centers, health tourism they can work in hotels.
