Feature & Definition

Dental Prosthetics Technology Program of the Vocational School of Health Service offers a two year mainstream education. The language of instruction is Turkish. The graduates have the information of construction of laboratory procedures of fixed-dentures, removable partial denture, complete denture, implant supported denture, orthodontic devices and maxillofacial dentures according to the planned treatment of a dentist. Graduates of Dental Prosthetics Technology Program can work as dental technicians at universities, public and private institutions and organizations. The main target of the Dental Prosthetics Technology Program is to educate qualified dental technicians for our country. For this reason, in order to transfer their theoretical knowledge to practical skill and to develop their information and capabilities, the students have a summer practice in the second and last semester of their education.

The target of the Dental Prosthetics Technology Program is to have graduates who have civic awareness, follow ethical and moral rules; respectful to themselves and enviroment; qualified at their profession; in pursuit of life-long learning; supporter of scientific way of thinking; open to different thoughts and cultures; can work as dental technician at both public and private institutions and organizations in health sector; can asist dentists and can carry out the stages of dental laboratory; able to think creatively and critically

Objectives

Specific Admission Requirements

It is required to complete 120 ECTS credits, general academic avarage at least 2,00 out of 4,00 and have completed a 30-day summer internship.

Qualification Requirements of Graduation

Students must have succeeded in the courses in the program, at least 120 ECTS credits, and a GPA of at least 2.00 out of 4.00.

Access to Further Studies

Students who graduate from the program can switch to Health Management program with vertical transfer.

Internship

Compulsory internship is 30 working days. Internship can be done in State and University Hospitals.

Applied Course

Applied courses are carried out in Çukurova University Faculty of Dentistry clinics.

Work Placement

Work-based learning is not performed.

Employment Opportunities
