Students are accepted to this program according to the Higher Education Institutions Examination (YKS) conducted by ÖSYM Presidency. In 2003-2004, Ç.Ü. Ceyhan Health Services Vocational School started education by taking its first student. With the gathering of health services under a single roof in the 2013-2014 academic year; The program started education and training within the scope of Ç.Ü. Abdi Sütcü Vocational School of Health Services.

Dental Technology Program affiliated to Vocational School of Health Services provides 2-year education. The language of education is Turkish. The task of our students who graduate from the Dental Prosthesis Technology education program is to make laboratory stages of fixed prosthesis, removable partial prosthesis, complete prosthesis, implant prosthesis, orthodontic apparatus and maxillofacial prosthesis according to the treatment planned by the dentist. Our dental prosthesis technology program graduates can work in academic institutions, various public and private institutions. The main goal of the dental prosthesis program is to train qualified dental prosthesis technicians for our country. For this reason, students do internships in the second and last semesters of their education in order to transform their theoretical knowledge about the profession they have acquired at the university into skills and to develop their knowledge and skills practically.

Goals

The aim of the Dental Prosthesis Technician Program is to train dental prosthesis technicians who can apply the laboratory stages of dental prosthesis using modern techniques, who are experts in their field, who continue to improve themselves with the awareness of lifelong learning, and who have cultural and professional ethical values.

Objectives

To train technicians who will perform the laboratory stages of fixed prosthesis, removable partial prosthesis, complete prosthesis, implant-supported prosthesis, orthodontic appliances and maxillofacial prosthesis in dental prosthesis laboratories according to the treatment methods planned by the dentist, who will repair these prostheses when necessary, who will use the necessary tools, equipment and dental devices for these applications in a routine service and at a level that will protect occupational health and safety, and who have cultural and professional ethical values.

Specific Admission Requirements

Students are accepted to this program within the quota according to the Higher Education Institutions Examination (YKS) conducted by ÖSYM. In addition, students are also accepted within the quotas announced by the international student office with the quotas of transfer according to the central / general grade point average.

Qualification Requirements of Graduation

Students are required to have passed the courses in the program with at least 120 ECTS credits and a GPA of at least 2.00 out of 4.00.

Access to Further Studies

Our graduates are successful in the DGS exam and gain the right of vertical transfer to appropriate undergraduate programs (Biology, Molecular Biology and Genetics, Biotechnology, Biotechnology and Molecular Biology, Genetics and Bioinformatics, Genetics and Bioengineering, Bioengineering, Nursing, Nursing and Health Services). Thus, they can complete their undergraduate education.

Internship

The duration of the compulsory summer internship is 30 working days. Internship can be done in State and University Hospitals.

Applied Course

Applied courses are carried out in the clinics of Çukurova University Faculty of Dentistry.

Work Placement

Workplace training is not available.
