Course Goal / Objective
The aim of this course is; Classifying the molecules that make up life, explaining chemical bonds and macromolecular structures, and teaching their intracellular functions.
Course Content
Bond types and functional groups that are important for biomolecules, The structure of water, its solvent properties and its importance for biomolecules, Amino acids, general properties, classifications, peptide bond formation, Structure and function relationships in proteins, Modification of proteins, General properties and classifications of carbohydrates, Structure and structure of carbohydrates function, General properties and classification of lipids, Structure and function of lipids, Structure function of nucleic acids
Course Precondition
Being a graduate of the Department of Biology, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Food Engineering, Fisheries.
