Course Goal / Objective

To develop the skills of concept generation and discourse analysis in architecture, to analyze contemporary architectural texts by addressing the conceptual foundations behind architectural projects at the discourse level and to gain the ability to develop discourse in their own designs.

Course Content

This course includes information about the relationship between language, concept, and discourse; narrative, representation, and conceptualization in architecture; discourse analysis approaches; architectural texts and manifestos.
