Course Goal / Objective

he objective is to teach biotechnological methods in plant pathogenic fungi. For this purpose, it includes amplifying genes used in molecular diagnostics through PCR-based techniques, performing nucleotide analyses to construct phylogenetic trees, and comparing the results with both molecular and traditional methods (morphological, cultural, and physiological).

Course Content

ntroduction to the Fungal Kingdom, its Classification, Molecular Characterization of Fungi Purified from Diseased Plant Tissues, Phylogenetic Analysis, Classification Based on Gene Groups, Gene Transfers in Fungi, and the Application Areas and Methods of Biotechnological Techniques

Course Precondition

plant Fungi Disease

Resources

Funguslara Giriş (John Webster and Roland Weber, 2007 Cambridge University Yayınları); Modern Mikoloji (J.W. Deacon, 2001, 3. baskı)
