Course Goal / Objective
Starting from a source of inspiration, the student studies an object and transforms it from three dimensions to two through methods of metamorphosis and stylization. By employing light, color, and various painting techniques, the student creates modular compositions to generate seamless and infinite surface designs.
Course Content
The course focuses on pattern generation and surface design processes in textile design. Students learn to analyze pattern repeats and apply techniques for creating seamless, infinitely extendable patterns using vectors and form units.
Course Precondition
There are no prerequisites for this course
