General Information
Cukurova University, Department of Textile Engineering was established in 23.07.1990 and received its first students in the academic year 1993-1994, the first students graduated in the 1996-1997 academic year. Doing research in national and international levels, based on continuous development, sharing knowledge with industry, our department has had approximately 1453 graduate students till 2025 years. During the four-year undergraduate education various lessons are given in the field such as fiber technology, yarn technology, fabric technology, finishing technology, garment technology, quality control in textile, textile design, and textile management.

Taking into account the requirements of the textile industry, the program aims to train the engineers who have the qualifications in accordance with the expectations of the industry, have a strong basic knowledge, know how to access information, renew themselves, explore with an ability of analytical thinking and synthesizing, understand professional ethics, communicate with others easily and be responsible and productive.

Goals
-Cukurova University Textile Engineering Program graduates continue their careers in the private sector, public institutions and organizations. -They continue their postgraduate education in their profession, work as researchers in university teaching staff or research centers/institutes. --Department graduates establish their own businesses as entrepreneurs.
Objectives
-To contribute to the Turkish Textile Industry by training engineers who are equipped with international quality education, open to development, ethically conscious, have strong communication skills and are problem solvers, taking into account the needs of our region and our country, -To work to increase Turkey's technological and scientific gains with master's degree programs for research and application in textile engineering in different areas of expertise and doctoral education for training researchers, -To present the results of scientific studies conducted in areas needed by the industry and society for the benefit of the textile industry with national and international publications, -To bring scientists together with the events it organizes, to provide information flow on current issues, to create a discussion environment and to present them to the attention of practitioners, -To be a leading education and training institution with national and international reputation.
Specific Admission Requirements
Placement through a centralized national university placement examination (ÖSYS). Student Selection and Placement Centre (ÖSYM) is responsible to place students according to their ÖSYS scores.

The students who have successfully accomplished this program gain the bachelor's degree of Textile Engineering.

Qualification Requirements of Graduation
Students who complete their four-year education are given a bachelor's degree. In order to successfully complete the program, students must take at least 240 ECTS credits and have a GPA of at least 2.00.
Access to Further Studies
The graduates of this program are eligible to apply for admission to graduate studies in same field or related areas if they pass the evaluation process designated according to the regulations of "Çukurova University Graduate Education and Examination Committee", which includes ALES, general point of average, and the interview.

Work Placement
Applied Engineering Education in Textile (TUME) course is in the 4th grade 8th semester. It covers one academic semester. During this period, the student spends 5 (five) business days a week depending on the working hours of the business (A business day normally consists of 8 hours of work). During the TUME period, the student's business The official period of time is subject to the academic calendar announced by the university. consists of non-holiday working days.
