General Information
The Underwater Technology Program started its education in 2010 at the Yumurtalik Vocational School of Higher Education. In the program, in the field of professional underwater man, which is an important area in our country and feeling the lack of training, trainings are provided to meet the need for technical staff. Training outcomes are underwater constructions, underwater exploration, survey, underwater search and rescue works, underwater search and rescue works, laying of underwater piping and communication lines, maintenance and repair of underwater pipelines, using pressure chamber, developing dive projects, establishing and managing diving organizations technical elements.

Underwater Technology Programs; The Professional Underwater Managers Regulation published in the Official Gazette dated 02.9.1997 and numbered 3098 of the Prime Ministry Undersecretariat of Maritime Affairs and the "I. Class Diver Training Program "in accordance with the decision of the board and opened with the approval of the Council of Higher Education. Underwater Technology is a two year associate degree program. The program offers 2 years of training. In the first year, free diving, life saving and instrumental diving training are given and students can practice in public and private organizations at the end of the first year. The candidates who graduated from the Underwater Technology Program applied to the harbor presidency to get proficiency underwater proficiency certificate and diving log book showing that they dived for a total of 50 hours during their education and when they submitted the diving log book and other documents certifying that they actually dived for 25 hours in the Pressure Room, First Class Submersible and Pressure Vessel Operator "certificate.

Goals
In order to train professional underwater men who are in need of our country, it is necessary to raise the work force to meet the demands of national and international labor force in the field of Underwater Technology related to universal human values.

Specific Admission Requirements
Students are admitted to the Underwater Technology Program through the Central Placement Exam conducted by ÖSYM, among those who graduated from high school or its equivalent. Candidates who get sufficient points from the TYT score type in the Central Placement Exam for the Underwater Technology Program are placed by OSYM, taking into account their preferences for higher education programs and the quota and conditions of these programs. The registration of students placed in the Underwater Technology Program is made by the student affairs unit within the framework of the calendar determined by OSYM.

-Associate Degree Diploma - They apply to the Port Authority and receive a "1st Class Diver" certificate.

Qualification Requirements of Graduation
ÇÜ. Follow the instruction given in the program of the College of Yumurtalık Vocational education has been successful in all courses, Workplace Training (80 ays and dive to the bottom 50 Workplace Practicum Training) studies have been successful, completed the necessary credits (120 AKTS) for graduation, weighted GPA of at least 50 level (At least on a 4.00 scale 2.00), and removed the Education and Examination Regulation Bachelor of Çukurova University, the student has completed all the work, education is considered completed and given to him Underwater Technology associate degree program.
Access to Further Studies
Fisheries Faculties can apply to Fisheries Technology Engineering Departments with the score they get by taking the vertical transfer exam.
Internship
It is required to complete a total of 80 days of internship, 40 days at the end of the 1st year and 40 days at the end of the 2nd year. Must have dived for more than 50 hours in total during the education, training and internship period.
Applied Course
Practical courses are held in related workshops and fields. Diving practices are carried out in the program's 5x10m pool, approximately 6 meters deep. Then, sea dives are made according to the content of the training. Surface decompression applications are carried out in the pressure chamber of the program. Applications that require manual dexterity such as welding cutting are carried out in the welding workshop.
Work Placement
It is a process in which the information in the practical and theoretical courses given to the students within the scope of the Underwater Technology Program is experienced by living in the workplace applied summer internship for 80 working days, the work experience of the students before joining the workforce and what they can actually do are evaluated by themselves and an independent third party.

Employment Opportunities
Graduates can work as an industrial diver in the private sector, as a pressure chamber operator in centers where hyperbaric oxygen therapy is applied, and as a diver in the tourism sector, with the certificates they receive. In addition, graduates can apply to the positions announced in public institutions and organizations and work as a diver or a pressure room operator with the title of technician.
