Course Goal / Objective

Understanding of the dangerous wastes and learning the ways to eliminate them.

Course Content

Identification and characteristics of hazardous waste, hazardous waste resources, human and environmental health impacts of hazardous waste, hazardous waste management, Turkey, the European Union and the legal framework of the US-EPA, hazardous waste management and responsibilities of partners (central government departments, local government units, the waste producers , recoverers, bertarafçılar, waste transporters, etc.)., hazardous waste management strategies and technologies (prevention and mitigation technologies, recycling technologies, treatment-physical, chemical, bio-technologies, hazardous waste disposal and incineration technologies).
