The aim of this course is to teach about the contribution of ancient civilizations to the development of present civilizations.

Course Content

The content of this course include Mesopotamian Civilizations; Anatolian Civilizations; Egyptian Civilization; Ancient Greek Civilization.

LO01 To learn the sources of Ancient history.
LO02 To explain that ancient history is the common heritage of humanity.
LO03 To comprehend that effects of ancient history and culture continues to this day, so that history shows continuity.
LO04 To explain the common points between the old man and modern man (beliefs-religious rituals, psychological and physiological needs, fears, family life, sense of law and justice needs, the existence of social classes, etc.)
LO05 To see humanity develops in many directions, while humanity still remains primitive based on many aspects (the wars and exploitation).
LO06 To learn and to protect our country's archaeological assets.
LO07 To learn that the successful states makes synthesis from other civilizations.
