Course Content

Students work individually and collectively on linguistic and cultural activities that will enable them to distinguish the cultural styles reflected in their native and the target language. By using the native and the foreign language effectively, students evaluate and analyze the responses to the situation scenarios which will help them to distinguish culture-specific behaviors. By those situation scenarios, they try to identify how to act and use the language in the scenario. Considering the characteristics of both cultures, they critically evaluate written, visual and aural products of their local and the target cultures. They produce their own written, visual and aural products with an intercultural perspective, and use the native and the target language effectively in those products. They work with the individuals from other cultures towards common goals and produce projects.
