Course Goal / Objective

This course focuses on the teaching of English as a foreign language to young learners (TEYL) from both a theoretical and practical standpoint.

Course Content

Introduction to Young Learners (YLs): Characteristics of YLs; How YLs think and learn; Determining priorities, syllabus, and coursebook; The nature of activities for YLs; Classroom Language; teaching language structures; Teaching vocabulary; Stories: Reading and telling stories; Classroom management; Assessing YLs.
