Course Goal / Objective
This course examines the complex relationship between language, interaction and learning with a view to improving language teachers professional practice. The objectives of the course is to -focus on the main features of classroom discourse and analyse how it is typically structured; - look at the relevance of classroom discourse to teaching and learning; - evaluate different approaches to studying classroom discourse; -focus on the concept of classroom interactional competence.
Course Content
