Course Goal / Objective

To familiarize students with fundamental variables of Turkish political history and discuss about.To understand the political life of Turkey in terms of issues, actors and structural change. Another aim of this course is to contribute to the development of democratic consciousness by obtaining detailed information about the discontinuous development of democracy history of Turkey.

Course Content

This course examines the daily Turkish political life from the last period of the Ottoman period in terms of subjects, actors, important events and structural change.The course will be presented chronologically around important topics that have been turning points in Turkish political life. This course presents fundamental variables of Turkish political history since the Ottoman Empire to today.
