Course Goal / Objective
To understand the electrochemistry basic principles and laws. To teach electrochemistry applications.
Course Content
Electrochemical terminology, general information, ions, electrolyte solution, electrical conductivity and measurement, Faraday laws, chemical potential, activity, activity constant, ionic strength, electrolyte equilibrium, ionization constants, dissociation, standard electrode potential, half-cell potential, batteries and electrolysis systems , Nernst equation, batteries and electrolysis applications, electrocatalysts.
