Course Goal / Objective

The students are expected to be able to combine necessary skills in terms of unit processes and operations and apply to the environmental engineering problems.

Course Content

Gas-liquid Mass Transfer, Solid-liquid Mass Transfer, Oxygen Transfer, Adsorption and Adsorption Isoterms, Ion Exchange, Coagulation-Flocculation and Precipitation, Chemical Precipitation, Chemical Oxidation, Neutralization, Hardness (Softening Process)

LO01 To introduce students to the basic unit operations and processes used in environmental engineering
LO02 To develop students knowledge on the basic physical, chemical, and biological principles of unit processes and operations commonly used in water and wastewater.
LO03 It aims at acquiring technical information about processes used in water and wastewater treatment.
