Course Goal / Objective

The use and application of GIS technology to collect, store and analyze the data and resources to be used within the scope of Geographical Information Systems (GIS). The use of GIS software to improve students' interactive learning processes. Provide a project application from data collection to analysis process so that students can use the solutions of geographic information systems in data and resource management.

Course Content

Definition and types of data and resources. Definition and applications of GIS. Data used under GIS. Data sources and techniques for transferring data to GIS environment. Data transformations in the GIS environment. Analysis of data and presentation techniques.
