Course Goal / Objective
Giving detailed information about contemporary political thought with its developments; establishing of a link between political thought and communication studies. Acquiring a basic approach for solving social, political and communicative problems with the konowledge of political developments of today.
Course Content
Contemporary political thoughts and ideas from 19th century to today will be discussed. Liberalism, conservatism, nationalism, socialist thougnts and social democracy will be handled detailly. In addition to that new social movements (femism, ecologism etc.),new conservatism, neo-liberalism and postmodernist approaches will be discussed.
