Course Goal / Objective

Training on management methods of plant pests, diseases and weeds ( quarantine, cultural, physical, biological and chemical) with detailed and practical information based on the examples.

Course Content

General information about control methods on diseases, pests and weeds; quarantine, cultural, physical, biological, chemical control methods, practices and integrated pest management.

LO01 In addition to basic knowledge in the fight against agricultural pests, diseases and weeds, quarantine measures, cultural measures, physical-mechanical measures, biotechnical and biological control methods.
LO02 Defines the active ingredients, mechanisms of action and application methods of pesticides.
LO03 To be able to compare transmission prevention and early warning models in the control of plant disease agents, pests and weeds.
LO04 Learns the decision-making criteria and parameters to be considered in the control of agricultural pests, diseases and weeds and the principles and methods of application of the most appropriate control methods within the framework of integrated control principles.
