Course Goal / Objective

The aim of this course is teaching the concept of novel, novel bibliography, historical progress of novel in western cultıure, novel in Turkish literature, preliminary translations, information about historical progress of novel in Turkish literature, analysis of sample novels

Course Content

The content of this course is the concept and term of novel, definitions, composing bibliography about novel, the progress of novel genre in Western culture, novel genres (Pikaro, Şövalye, Çoban), novel in Turkish literature, preliminary translatin novels, samples from Tanzimat novels, Semsettin Sami, Taaşşuk-ı Talat ve Fitnat, general characteristics of Tanzimat novel
