Course Goal / Objective

The aim of this course is to establish the model of decision problems involving multiple objectives and criteria to learn the solution methods of this type of problems, to determine the appropriate methods and to gain the ability to make the optimum decision by conflicting or prioritized objectives.

Course Content

Introduction to multi purpose and multi criteria optimization problems, constrained and unconstrained optimization problem solving, necessary and sufficient conditions, linear and non linear optimization problem solving: goal programming using simplex method, introduction to conflicting criteria and purposes, Gradient Method and Newton's method, CCR and BCC method.
