Course Goal / Objective
This course focuses on solving complex decision making problems in economics and business area. The sub aim of the course is to make students learn decision making methods under uncertainty and risk, recognize the appropriate decision-making methods for different problems. In addition, by supporting theoretical knowledge with applications, adapting methods to real-life problems
Course Content
The course covers decision problems and structures, influence diagrams, decision tree and the calculation of expected values, making a choice and evaluation of information, the benefits and the expected benefit approach, decision making with multiattribute/multiobjective, dominance and multiple attributes, balancing conflicting objectives, AHP and TOPSIS methods
