Course Goal / Objective

To teach the basins, basins and water resources, to provide the necessary infrastructure to ensure sustainable management of basins containing water resources, and to develop basin management plans

Course Content

Environmental components and properties in basins. Water quality assessments. Characteristics of basin ecosystems. The concept of integrated watershed management, strategic importance of basins. The concept of wastes and pollution that are discharged into the natural system, resulting from beneficial use of the basins and misuse. Data collection and evaluation in basin management. Decision-making process in watershed management, socio-economic structure and public participation, development of management policies. Development of watershed management plan.
