Course Goal / Objective

Understanding structure and working principles of the PLCs, programming the PLCs with ladder diagram, interpreting PLC programmes available before and gaining ability of solution development for a given problem using PLC programming

Course Content

Introduction to programmable logic controllers, basic units of PLCs, logical operations, ladder diagram commands and programming with ladder diagram, set-reset commands, timers-counters in PLCs, comparison commands, design automotion systems using PLCs

LO02 Be able to explain principles and programming methods of PLCs.
LO03 They can make reduction of a system given with logic procedures to achieve result and can explaining programming technique with ladder diagram for the obtained result.
LO04 Explain basic commands in PLC programming, concept of timers and procedures of timers; concept of counters and procedures of counters and use in programming
LO05 Analyze a given electro-mechanic control system and realize it using PLC system
LO06 Realize a process control through programming PLC
