Course Goal / Objective

Recognition of mineral nutrients, their transport, storage, use in metabolic processes, enrichment of nutrients in soil, antagonistic and synergistic interactions of mineral elements with each other. Fertilization programs for fruit, vineyard, vegetable and ornamental plants for high productivity and product quality in Horticultural Plants.

Course Content

Introduction of nutrients, principles of uptaking and translocation in floem and xylem. Fertilization principles and fertigation programs in horticultural crop plants.
