Course Goal / Objective

The aim of this course is to introduce the hard-seeded fruit species such as peach, nectarine, apricot, cherry, cherry and plum grown in Turkey and in the World in general and to give basic information about the students about the cultivation of the current variety, rootstocks and hard seed fruits.

Course Content

Cultural practices such as the necessity of breeding of peach, nectarine, apricot, cherry, sour cherry and plum species, nutrition and economical importance, planting, irrigation, fertilization and pruning are explained. Varieties and varietal characteristics of these species are evaluated and the factors affecting yield and quality and the regulation of these factors are explained. In addition, methods of combating these species and their varieties against reproductive biology, disease and harmfulness are also studied.
