Course Goal / Objective

Basic information about general eye anatomy and eye health will be given. It will have information about Ear, Nose and Throat Diseases related to oral and maxillofacial region. To enable the students to know diagnosis, differential diagnosis and treatment of dermatoses which they may encounter in dentistry practice. General information about treatment planning and construction techniques of the maxillofacial prosthesis. They also share information about how surgical approaches are made.

Course Content

This course is taught in 4 different courses as Ear-Nose-Throat, Eye, Dermatology and Maxillofacial Surgery.

LO04 Classify upper and lower jaw defects and plan treatment.
LO05 Know Obturator types and construction techniques.
LO06 Know the implants in jaw face dentures.
