Course Goal / Objective

To introduce the cement technology, cement raw materials, and the process of cement.

Course Content

Cement raw materials, cement production stages, Cement classifications, standards, information on Turkey Cement Sector.

LO09 Determines physicial (unit weights, porosity, void ratio, degree of saturation, water content) and consistency (Liquid limit, Plastic limit, Shrinkage Limit and Plastisity index) properties by doing related tests and calculations
LO10 To teach the recognition of cement, classification, determining physicial, mechanic and consistency properties of cement.
LO11 To teach the basics of cement,the chemical systems and the interpretation of these systems .
LO12 Learns atom and the basic concepts of chemical bonds.
