Course Goal / Objective

The aim of this course is to provide students with general information about ore preparation, as well as the principles of equipment used in relation to crushing, grinding and classification methods applied in today's mining industry, application areas and calculations to be used in process applications. In addition to theoretical information, it is aimed to show laboratory experiments related to mineral processing, to evaluate experimental data and to interpret them.

Course Content

Introduction to mineral processing, defination, minerals and ores, crushing, grinding and classification. Experimental work (Crushing, grinding and classification).
