Course Goal / Objective

The main purpose of the course is to explain the reasons of market failures by micro analysis method by entering the discipline of public economics.

Course Content

This course includes Historical and Analytical Perspective on Public Economics Discipline, Institutional Economics , The Structure, Composition and Size of Public Sector,Market Economy, Concepts of Efficiency and Justice in Economics, Measurement of Social Benefits and Costs, Market Failure and the Role of the State,Public Goods, Externalities,Natural monopolies, regulation and privatization, Income Distribution and Redistribution Policies, Justice and Efficiency in Taxation
