Course Goal / Objective

Explain the pharmacokinetics, mechanism of action, use in treatment, side effects, contraindications and interactions of drugs that are effective on the autonomic nervous system and cardiovascular system.

Course Content

Basic information about neurotransmitters and drugs of the autonomic nervous system, cholinomimetic drugs, parasympatholytic drugs, sympathomimetic and sympatholytic drugs, cardiovascular system drugs; antihypertensive drugs, diuretics drugs, antianginal and antiarrhythmic drugs, drugs used against heart failure, beta-adrenergic receptor blockers, hypolipidemic and antithrombotic drugs

LO03 Explain the pharmacokinetics, mechanism of action, side effects and contraindications of parasympathomimetic and parasympatholytic drugs.
LO04 List the pharmacokinetics, mechanism of action, side effects and contraindications of sympathomimetic and sympatholytic drugs.
LO05 They know the basic mechanisms that regulate the functioning of the cardiovascular system and classify medicines that are used in the treatment of disorders that occur in their disorder.
LO06 List the pharmacokinetics, mechanism of action, side effects and contraindications of cardiovascular system drugs.
