Course Goal / Objective
Gaining the ability to calculate the cross-sectional effects of structural elements, to gain knowledge of determining the force-displacement and stress-strain relations, to give the ability to dimension according to the safety stresses, to give information about the calculation of the centers of gravity and moments of inertia of the surface shapes.
Course Content
Introduction to stress and displacement concepts. Stress calculation of axially loaded elements. Stress and displacement at a point. Static momentum, inertia momentum. Simple bending.
