Course Goal / Objective

It is aimed to comprehend the basic principles of soil mechanics

Compression of soils, calculation of stress increases in soils, calculation of shear strength in soils, calculation of lateral pressures of soils, determination of settlement, slip, and overturning in retaining structures, bearing capacity, safe bearing capacity, soil safety stress, simple bearing capacity calculations, Settlement
