Course Goal / Objective

To inform preservice teachers about development of 0-6 years old childrens' play skills andtheir preferences for toys and play according to their age and to introduce the types of play, to prepare play activities indicators in the development of children and to ensure them prepare appropriate play appealing for children

Course Content

Historical development in childrens' play and theories related to play, basic concepts related to childrens' play, play in early childhood period and changes in childrens' play with developmental stages, treatment of behavior problems through play, play in different cultures, play and toys in Turkish culture.
