Course Goal / Objective

To teach definitions and aims of sustainable agriculture, sustainable agriculture in the World, principles of sustainable agriculture, mechanizastion of tillage, sowing and cultivation in sustainable agriculture, and samples of farms related to sustainable agriculture

Course Content

Definition of sustainable agriculture, principles of sustainable agriculture, human health and environmental effects of agricultural production, sustainable agriculture systems, alternative agriculture, organic agriculture, permaculture, conservation agriculture, samples of farms related to sustainable agriculture

Course Precondition

Students who will receive workplace training in the 7th semester, in the 1st and 5th semesters; Students who will receive workplace training in the 8th semester must meet the attendance requirement and have a GPA of at least 2.00 in the courses in which they pass or fail all the courses in the 2nd, 4th and 6th semesters.

Resources

Çukurova University Library and e-data based online libraries will be used for the research.
