Course Goal / Objective
In this course, it is aimed to make a comparative and in-depth analysis of the public economy and the market economy by considering the structure and functioning of the public economy from various perspectives.
Course Content
Within the scope of the course, the reasons for the state's intervention in the economy and the question of why the state exists are detailed with the necessary forms and analyzes within the framework of externalities, public goods, natural monopolies, and it is planned to analyze the public sector with the public choice theory. While income distribution policies and cost benefit analysis are included in the course, the effects of taxes on income distribution and resource distribution will be discussed with advanced techniques.
