Course Goal / Objective
The general aim of this course; Master's students who pass this course get to know the Classical teachings of Islamic sciences on Tafsir. They acquire the habit of reading and understanding classical texts. They see the discussions of classical tafsir from the Sunni tradition with other sects and learn about the exegesis of the Qur'an with an inquiring spirit.
Course Content
Classical tafsir texts course, Taberî, Beydavî, Celaleyn, Kurtubî, İbn Kathir and Zemahşerî etc. It will contain excerpts from the books of commentators who lived in different centuries, such as These pieces will give sufficient information to the student about the adventure of classical tafsir.

This course has no prerequisites.
