Course Goal / Objective

It is aimed that students have knowledge about the media and dyes used in microbiology.

Course Content

Within the scope of this course, students; What are the media (live and non-living media) used for the production of microorganisms and preservation of their viability, obtaining their pure cultures (isolation), counting, identification (identification) and examination of their biochemical properties, antimicrobial susceptibility tests, types of media, how they are prepared, the use of media. will learn quality control and how they are preserved, will also have information about the selection of media to be used according to the microorganisms to be produced, the recognition and application of staining methods.
