Course Goal / Objective
It aims to classify crystal structures, nano-structures and crystal defects and establish relationships between them.
Course Content
Periodic Array ofAtoms, Fundamental Types of Lattices, Diffraction of Waves by Crystals, Nearly Free Electron Model, Band Gap, Impurity Conductivity, Construction of Fermi Surfaces, Nuclear Magnetic Resonance, Dielectric Function of the Electron Gas, Dielectric Function of the Electron Gas, Dielectric Constant and Polarizability, Imaging Techniques for Nanostructures, Diffraction Pattern, Lattice Vacancies, Shear Strength of Single Crystals.
