Course Goal / Objective
To emphasize the factors that cause the occupational diseases, to teach the measurement technique of ash and quartz amounts in respirable dust.
Course Content
Sources of Dust, Classification of Dusts, Respirable Dust, Pneumoconiosis, Coal Workers’ Pneumoconiosis, Dust Samplers, Measurement and Analyses of Dusts, Measurement of Ash and Quartz Amounts in Respirable Dust, FTIR and XRD Technique, Threshold Limit Value (TLV), Coping with the Dusts in Mine Workings and Regulations.
