Course Goal / Objective

By modeling techniques, development process can be completed in shorter period with lower cost compared to experimental researches. Modelling techniques can also be applied to complex applications. When modeling is validated to the experimental results can provide closer models to real condition. Aim of the course is teaching modeling techniques and application areas to students.

Course Content

Students will obtain modeling ability by this course. Then they will start to simulate and analyse complex systems. Advanced techniques for model simulations, model applications and analyses will be given during the course. Empirical and physical models, 0-, 1- and multi dimensional models will be investigated. Students will prepare a project to show how to transfer experimental system and data to computer, how to determine boundary conditions and estimate parameters and how to validate the models.
