Course Goal / Objective

To provide information about the care of surgical patient. To improve the ability of the student to access information, to evaluate information and to interpret information.

Importance of Patient Education and Basic Concepts in Patient Education; Patient care, basic concepts in patient care, general principles; Training Methods and Use of these Methods -Preparation and Use of Visual and Auditory Instruments; Problem Solving Skills, Adapting the Patient Education Process to the Nursing Process; Theories and Models Used in Patient Care in Surgical Nursing Discharge Training; Perioperative Nursing Care in Elderly Patients Principles of Rehabilitation and Nursing Approaches; Evidence-based patient care practices in surgical nursing; Using medicine with care
