Course Goal / Objective

To associate oral and dental health with food and nutrients in the whole life cycle from fetal life to old age and to teach medical nutrition therapies in oral health-related diseases and oral manifestations of systemic diseases.

Course Content

Nutrients in oral and dental health, the relationship between dental caries and nutrition, the importance of nutrition for oral and dental health in the life cycle, periodontal diseases, oral manifestations of systemic diseases, head and neck cancers, infectious diseases, diabetes mellitus, rheumatological diseases, dysphagia, eating disorders, food-drug interactions
