Course Goal / Objective
The purpose of statistics , types of variables , basic descriptive statistics calculated depending on the variable type , some important statistical distributions , basic statistical methods such as correlation and regression to introduce students
Course Content
What is Statistics , Some types of basic statistical concepts and variables, Frequency charts for continuous data, The frequency table for discrete data, Graphical representation of data, Quantitative data on the average , median, frequency distribution of descriptive measures , such as peak position ( Measures of central tendency ), Identifying the frequency distribution in percentages of the quantitative data , quarterly and decimals, Quantitative data on standard deviation, variance, frequency distribution of descriptive measures such as changes in the coefficient of variation, Qualitative data rates in frequency variance, Discrete probability distributions: binomial distribution , hypergeometric distribution , Poisson distribution, Continuous probability distributions: normal distribution , standard normal distribution, Hypothesis testing and trial planning, Non-Parameter tests, One- way analysis of variance
