Course Goal / Objective

Recognizing the processes applied before and after the melting process of the glass, determining the furnace diagram for the relationship between the glass structure and thermal expansion in glasses, Arranging the thermal process according to the thermal expansion and the thermal shock resistance of the glass, describing the problems that may arise regarding thermal expansion after glass melting and shaping To be able to explain the relationship between the physical properties of the glasses and the glass composition, to interpret the change in the density of the glass depending on the glass components, to interpret the chemical resistance of the glass depending on the composition.

Course Content

Determining the basics of glass formation, the steps of glass formation, Researching the relationships between glassmakers, conditioners and conditional glassmakers and determining the effects of their amounts on the structure of the glass, determining the basic glassmakers and glass structures, evaluating the relationships between composition, glass structure and properties of glass, and glass melting to name methods.
