Course Goal / Objective

To provide information about basic electrical and electronic systems.

Electrical Current, DC and AC Sources, Kirchoffs Current Law (KCL), Voltage, Electrical Power, Mechanical Energy vs Electrical Energy, Resistance, Insulator, Admittance, Ohm Law: V-I Characteristics and Nonlinear V-I Characteristics, Kirchoffs Voltage Law (KVL), Voltage Division Principle, Current Division Principle, Wheatstone Bridge, Thevenin Theorem, Analysis Calculation of Thevenin Equivalent of a Circuit, Direct Current (DC) and Alternating Current (AC) , Voltage Waveform, Capacitance, Capacitors: Basic Relation, Charge Stored in a Capacitor and , Meaning of the Time Constant, Inductance, R-L Circuits, Circuit Analysis in software, Micro-conrollers, Embedded software for Micro-conrollers, Transistor, Relay, DC Motor, Switching Applications for various loads, LCD Screens, Temperature Sensing, DC motor Speed and Direction Control
