Course Goal / Objective
To provide an understanding of the concepts of social inequality and social distance and their relationship to social processes
Course Content
Social strata and social inequalities, analyzing power and its effect, social distribution of income and wealth, status, education and specialization in stratification, as well as general theories about stratification; Basic concepts such as class, status and power are studied in detail.
