Course Goal / Objective

It uses basic radiometric units. Explains concepts such as speed, frequency, wavelength and energy of light. Binary of light defines its nature and gives examples from nature. It explains the propagation of light in the medium and its transition from one medium to another, and I deal with these concepts.

Course Content

Quantum theory of light, Light and matter interaction, classical and quantum noise, laser and laser dynamics, Light modulation; examples from integrated optics and semiconductor optoelectronics, nonlinear optics.
